Dear Shabbat Project Partners,
As we stand on the threshold of Rosh Hashana, we are greeted with a rare and Divine convergence; this year, the start of our new year coincides with Shabbat. And on this, the 10th anniversary of the global Shabbat Project, that surely is no accident.
As we ready ourselves to welcome in this meaningful day of double holiness, I want to express my gratitude to you and your families for your partnership, and my profound admiration for all your efforts in bringing Shabbat to the world.
Our sages teach us that taking responsibility for and dedication to the Jewish people unleashes great blessing, particularly on Rosh Hashana. You epitomise that spirit of responsibility and dedication, and I have no doubt that your efforts are a source of extraordinary merit for you and your families, and for all of us, at this time when we stand before our Creator in judgment.
It has been my honour and privilege to partner with you over these years. Together, as we welcome Rosh Hashana on Shabbat, let’s harness the spiritual energy of this unique convergence to make this year’s Shabbat Project the biggest, most inspiring one yet!
