New Shtiebel in South Tottenham
The first Shabbos in our new Shtiebel passed with an elated and enthralled atmosphere.
Friday night was graced by Rabbi Lezer Rottenberg, who taught Or HaChaim on the Sedra, whilst Rabbi Shaye Greenfeld held a spirited Drosho during Shalosh-seudos.
On Sunday, Zoys Chanuka we had the merit of inaugurating the Kehal Chasidim Shul on Cadoxton Avenue.
Mincha was followed by a Drosho by the Moro Deasra, where Rabbi Padwa spoke of the importance for every Jew to make the Shul his home, so that shall merit to be considered as if he dwells in Eretz Yisroel.
Joined by local Rabbonim, both from South Tottenham and further afield he then proceeded to affix a Mezuzah to the main sanctuary.
Following a L'Chaim, where the Rov of the new Shul, Rabbi Shea Leifer Shlita spoke, the assembled enjoyed a tour of the premises, expressing their admiration for the beautiful edifice that was eked out of the very limited space on site.
Regular Minyonim are now being organised, as well as Shiurim in Gemorroh, Halocho, Mussar and Chassidus.
2017 Update:
Last week marked the start of the fifth year of Kehal Chassidim in South Tottenham. An extension to the ladies' section is underway and a regular Minyan for weekday Shacharis is provided for by local Avreichim from the Ger Chassidic sect. May this Mokom Kodosh go MeChayil el Chayil (from strength to strength)!
