This year is particularly special, being the 10th anniversary of the Shabbat Project. For a decade now, the Shabbat Project has brought together countless Jews all over the world to celebrate and keep Shabbat, in a spirit of joy and unity. For our 10th anniversary, there are some exciting ideas to make this Shabbat Project absolutely epic…
The centerpiece is the Light Up 10 Million Shabbat Candles campaign – a call to every Jewish home in the world – we estimate there are five million of them – to light Shabbat candles on the Friday of the Shabbat Project (5m homes x 2 candles = 10m candles).
Then there’s the Chief’s new book: Shabbat - A Day to Create Yourself. With hundreds of learning groups around the book springing up across the world, it’s your chance to help people bring the magic of Shabbat into their homes throughout the year.
